Amateur team Auckland City ended their Club World Cup in remarkable fashion by scoring their first goal and earning their first point with a surprise draw against Boca Juniors, who were also eliminated from the competition.

Christian Gray, a trainee teacher at Mt Roskill Intermediate School in Auckland, rose to meet the corner of Jerson Lagos, a barber, and headed in the equalizer, as the mostly-amateur team from New Zealand held Diego Maradona's former Argentine club to a draw.

Auckland City, the only amateur team in the FIFA Club World Cup, stunned soccer power Boca Juniors in a group stage game at Geodis Park.
