TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Caribbean-themed restaurant Bahama Breeze is closing 15 locations across the country, including five in Florida, USA TODAY reported. Reports of the sudden closures began swirling after signs appeared on the doors of the restaurant locations in Gainesville and Naples.

Bahama Breeze abruptly closed down 15 restaurant locations this week, a spokesperson told USA TODAY. Darden Restaurants spokesperson Kiara Buckner confirmed the closures after reports of shuttering restaurants began to emerge on Thursday afternoon, May 15 across multiple states, including Florida, Tennessee and Nevada.
