New dad Max Verstappen showed he could be even faster as a father after storming to pole position at the Miami Formula One Grand Prix ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris on Saturday.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen narrowly beat Lando Norris to pole position for the Miami Grand Prix to take his third pole position of the season.

"I’ve didn’t put it together but it is what it is with Max [Verstappen] on pole and I’m P2, I’m ready to see what we can do into Turn One." On the race: "I don’t really mind if it’s going to be dry or wet but Miami seems to be surprising quite a bit with the weather at the minute so I’m ready for both.

The Miami F1 race has a reputation for high ticket prices and fan controversy, so The Athletic asked 2025 attendees for their opinions

Every Formula One race during the 2025 season will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC. All practice and qualifying sessions and all F1 Sprint events will also be broadcast. This race will be broadcast on ESPN. Selected races will stream on ESPN Plus, featuring two alternate streams for all races (Driver Tracker and mixed onboard cameras).
