Manny Machado hit a three-run double and Nick Pivetta allowed one run and struck out six in seven innings to lead the San Diego Padres past the Philadelphia Phillies 6-4 in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Phillies don’t get all that many home runs from their outfield, so it was a nice surprise that Brandon Marsh decided to hit one of his own leading off the fifth. (This thankfully took any awful baserunning decisions off the table.) Later in the inning, Nick Castellanos made it a 4-1 game with an RBI single.

The Philadelphia Phillies made a decision on Bryce Harper before the series finale against the San Diego Padres.
