Texas' attorney general is praising a Supreme Court ruling upholding a state law aimed at blocking children from seeing pornography online.

The law, meant to shield minors from sexual materials on the internet by requiring adults to prove they are at least 18, was challenged on First Amendment grounds.

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld a Texas law that requires age verification for pornographic websites in one of the most closely watched First Amendment cases to arrive at the high court in years.
