Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has faced multiple allegations of sharing classified information on Signal, a commercially available messaging app.

In one case, he told aides on the encrypted app to inform foreign governments about an unfolding military operation, people familiar with his management practices said.

The app facilitated communications in a building where cell service is poor and personal phones are not allowed in some areas.
