U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday the U.S. would "pretty soon" charge a 10% tariff on imports from BRICS countries, drawing another complaint from Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva,

Trump has warned that BRICS countries, including India, could face a 10 per cent tariff, accusing the group of trying to harm the United States and weaken the US dollar. He said BRICS was formed to challenge the dollar’s global dominance.

“Any Country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% Tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy,” Mr. Trump said in a Truth Social post. He did not elaborate, nor did he say what BRICS policies he was referring to.
