Garzon finishes with career-high 35 points, guides Indiana women’s basketball to victory

The 35 points by Garzon were the most in a game by an IU player since Amanda Cahill scored 38 in a quadruple-overtime win against Michigan State in the 2018 Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. The Hoosiers led by as many as nine in the first half but went cold in the second quarter, which allowed the Huskies to claim a 31-29 halftime lead.

Indiana women’s basketball returned to the hardwood Monday against Washington looking to break its three-game losing streak. After the Hoosiers led by double digits in the final quarter, the contest was tied before they eventually defeated the Huskies 73-70 inside Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle.

Garzon lights out night sparks IU women to big road win in Seattle
Well, that’s over. The Hoosiers out-lasted the host University of Washington in Seattle – one of the Big Ten Conference’s new teams this season – 73-70, to raise their record to 13-7 and 5-4 in league. Thank you goes to the 6-foot-3 player from Israel, who scored 35 points, a career high.
