The New Orleans Pelicans are pulling out all the stops to manifest Cooper Flagg's arrival, and it involves Zion Williamson.

First off, New Orleans somehow lands the No. 1 pick in a draft with a perceived generational prospect at the top once again. It happened for them in 2012 with Anthony Davis and in 2019 with Williamson. Having this type of luck for the third time in the last 15 years would be a break this otherwise-snakebitten franchise desperately needs.

Cooper Flagg might change an entire NBA team's future. But landing with any of these squads would feel like a waste.

With everything left up to chance now, the Pelicans hold the fourth-best odds (12.5%) to land the No. 1 overall pick, which would presumably be Cooper Flagg out of Duke.

New Orleans is in prime position to potentially draft a Duke basketball product to pair with its NBA Blue Devil centerpiece.

Zion Williams will be at the NBA Draft Lottery on Monday night as the representative for the Pelicans, putting trade rumors in doubt.
