The Chiefs landed in Denver late Saturday — or much later than they had planned anyway. Their charter plane for this weekend’s Broncos game endured nearly a four-hour weather delay in Kansas City. Kansas City International Airport halted its flight operations Saturday afternoon because of icy conditions on its runway and taxiways.

The Kansas City Chiefs were reportedly stranded at the airport for more than four hours Saturday due to a severe winter storm before being cleared to fly to Denver for Sunday's game against the host Broncos. The team announced its safe arrival on social media later Saturday evening.
