However, one ticket sold in New Jersey won a prize of $40,000 for matching four of the five white balls and the gold Mega ball. The New Jersey Lottery said that prize is normally $10,000 but it was boosted to $40,000 because of the 4X multiplier. The lucky ticket was sold at Mike’s Deli on Oak Hill Road in Red Bank, lottery officials said.

Last week was a winning one for New Jersey Lottery players, with 15 individuals claiming prizes of $10,000 or more between June 23 and June 29. Five lucky players hit around Monmouth County.

There have been three Mega Millions winners this year, with the most recent being the April 18 win in Ohio of a $112 million jackpot.
