Texas A&M throttled the Longhorns, 14-2, in five innings on Friday at Jack Turner Softball Stadium in Athens, Ga. The Aggies will face Oklahoma in the title game on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.

ATHENS, Ga. — While Texas A&M and Oklahoma are enduring a weather delay at the SEC softball tournament, officials are confident that a break in the rain will allow the championship game to start approximately 30 minutes after the tarp covering the field gets pulled, according to a Texas A&M official.

The Sooners were selected as the No. 2 overall seed. They will play Boston University at 6 p.m. Friday in the Norman Regional. Texas A&M was named the No. 1 seed in the tournament. On Saturday, OU's softball team and Texas A&M were named co-SEC champions after a weather led to the conference championship game to be canceled.

Despite steamrolling the Longhorns and earning co-SEC champion honors with the Sooners, the Aggies will be vigilant against all who visit College Station. Texas A&M's group consists of Saint Francis,
