Storm surveys are underway following a night of severe weather across North Texas. As of Monday afternoon, at least seven tornadoes have been confirmed. EF-0 tornadoes: One confirmed near Morton Valley in Eastland County.

A round of severe weather was moving though North Texas Sunday evening and there were reports of damage in Palo Pinto County.

"A maturing central U.S. storm system is expected to produce another round of dangerous severe weather and instances of flash flooding today," the National Weather Service warned Monday. The forecast discussion added that "from a broader perspective," locally heavy rain was forecast to reach from the northern Plains to Texas.

Officials in Kansas and Texas were evaluating damage on Monday after tornadoes touched down overnight, just days after more than two dozen people were killed in storms that swept through parts of the Midwest and South.
