According to police, a 69-year-old driver of a Honda Pilot collided with the boy who was crossing the intersection of Albany Avenue and Eastern Parkway.

Doctors say the heat can strain a person's heart and put them at risk of a heart attack or an irregular heartbeat, also known as an arrhythmia. The heat can also exacerbate heart failure.

The MTA announced that bus service will increase on 14 local routes across Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island.

Authorities say a 911 call led them to the intersection of Riverdale Avenue and Osborn Street around 3 a.m.
