Fluminense secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup by defeating UEFA Champions League finalists Inter Milan 2-0 in their round of 16 match at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

German Cano opened the scoring in the third minute heading home from close range, before Hercules clinched the win in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.
