Travel disruption to road and rail services are likely on Thursday in areas with yellow warnings, as well as the potential for accidents in icy places, the Met Office has said.

Fresh weather warnings have been issued as wintry conditions are causing travel disruption and school closures. Yellow warnings for snow and ice come into force across large parts of the UK on Monday afternoon, and will remain in place into Tuesday.

Parts of Wales are set for another cold snap on Thursday, with two weather warnings in place for snow and ice. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice for parts of north, west and mid Wales from 00:15 GMT on Thursday until 11:00.

The torrid weather of the weekend has only continued into this week with much of the UK seeing snow, sleet and ice. Wednesday saw yellow weather warnings placed across the country, including in Southern England,

MORE snow and ice is on the way, according to forecasters who have issued another weather warning. The Met Office has put in place a yellow warning across the north west of England and north Wales for snow and icy patches.
